Haha, i'm 15. For the past 2 weeks ive been feeling fatique, irritible, like mind foggy just a little bit and constipated. Well today i took some milk of magnesia and ate a salad and chicken sandwhich from burker king with medium fries. After about 20 mins later i started getting cramps and then finally when and had a bowel movement. It came out like water and i dont know if it was dark green or like black? i couldnt tell, i dont think its blood. There was like some seeds in it from the bun i ate and like the fries lol. Ive had a headache for about 5 hours. But that was before i had a bowel movement and i was getting hot and cold spells. But i feel okay now just my head is pounding. I think its good that i went after all my stool was hard, and light brown. Maybe im finally getting cleaned out? from a stomach virus? hmmmm I also have a doctors appointment tuesday.
Answer:
I'm not sure why you think you have a bowel infection or stomach virus. The MOM will cause you to have a loose stool, especially if you're eating greasy junk food like fries.
You may be slightly dehydrated, which can cause a headache. You have an appointment with a doc. In the meantime, you can take advil or tylenol for your headache, and be sure you're drinking enough fluids like water, watered down kool-aid or lemonade, or diet soda.
Rather than take something like MOM, be sure you're eating cereals like oatmeal and whole grains, fruits and veggies, and drinking enough fluids. At your age, if you're eating properly and getting enough exercize and fluids, you shouldn't have a problem with constipation.
Question for a doctor, not YA.
Well, if you're having hot/cold spells, you've probably got a fever. So, yes, it could very well be a stomach bug. It's good that you're seeing your doctor on Tuesday, though, just to be sure.
It is funny how our digestive system affects us. Sounds to me like you got rid of a bunch of stool that you needed to rid yourself of. Drink lots of water and eat raisen bran every day and you won't have to do that again. It's also reeeealllly good for your intestine in the long run. Trust me on that one.
