a stroke can kill someone if the blood vessel has ruptured when it was occluded, like what happens in aneurysms. but if not, the patient only has to suffer through the complications of stroke like paralysis, loss of sensation and so on.
if your mom has had four strokes already, it might mean that the affected blood vessel has a clot that sometimes occludes the blood vessel (when she's having the stroke) and sometimes has blood passing through it towards the brain tissues.
ask your doctor about warfarin and heparin if you want. they are known to dissolve blood clots.
i hope your mom will be ok, though. please know that i'm praying for her.

I do, however, know that the stress of giving birth typically causes woman to temporarily lose a respectable amount of hair. If I were you I would consult another physician immediately because it could be a form of Alopecia or other skin disease causing your hair loss.
I unfortunately lost my hair a long time ago, but that's to be expected since I am a male. To correct it I had a hair restoration back in July and couldn't happier with the results. My first guess would be tinea capitis (i.e., ringworm: the same fungus that causes athletes foot if on your feet can cause hairloss if on your scalp). Worth exploring.
