Can a mother body be kept "alive" to support an ongoing pregnancy?

What kind of death to the mother allows this option to be available
Answer:
If a mother has a stroke, embolism, or has been involved in an accident that leaves her brain dead, but otherwise physically viable, then there have been cases where the mother's body is sustained until such time as the fetus gains enough uterine maturity to be delivered via C section, and then the mother is allowed to expire.

This choice however is ONLY ever made by the family, never by doctors, unless the mother had no other direct relatives...and there was no predetermined directive on file.
not sure what you are asking. if you are considering suicide seek help immediately.

but if you are dealing with an illness that could cause death before the baby is born, please talk to your dr. or a health professional.
It's been done. Usually a brain injury. Life support can keep the body going until the child is ready for delivery.
I can't imagine that it would be possible because the baby takes so much from the mother's body. The only time I have heard of it has been in fictional instances.
the mother will be in a coma and not know nothing as well as being brain dead=the body will be kept functioning until the baby can safely be born
I'm not absolutely sure, but I thought that, if a woman is brain dead, that extraordinary means could be used to keep her body functioning to sustain the pregnancy.

You should verify this with an OB.
Why do you ask?
It's been done for real, but it's a lucky baby that makes it.
No, after so long your body will reject it, the body will foce to go in to labor, or their has been cases where they coat it like a cocoon with enamle to protect the body from a forgin object. I learn this in Human Biology class
