Best Treatment for Hiccups?

Can someone please tell me the best treatment for hiccups? I need something simple and easy to do.

Thanks in advance.
Answer:
Whenever I get the "cups" what always works for me is drinking a glass of water upside down...yup it works for me.others will try a spoon full of sugar. Stay away from soda. If you need more instruction I'd be happy to share.
Hold your breath.
I usually just hold my breath or punch myself in the chest
i got this from my grandmother when i used to get bad ones during summers at her house:

1) get a glass of cold water.
2) drink ten swallows as fast as you can.
3) take a deep breath -- this will cause you to burp.

*it's important that you burp. if you don't, it won't work. i'm sure there's a scientific reason why, but i don't know what it is. the burping seems to put whatever got off track to cause the hiccups back on.

nothing else except this has ever worked for me.
1. take a deep breath
2. yell out loud "HICCUPS! GO AWAY!"

just kidding.

drink water, or hold your breath, i guess.
light a match drop it in the cup of water and drinnk immed. something in the sulfur -

or bend over and drink a glass of water
My grandma made us suck on a limon.
Breathe into a paper bag, drink a glass of water,or have someone sneak up on you and scare the crap out of you. They all work but everyone is diff.Good Luck
Greetings; This works always have and always well, stand up,with a glass of water, bend over at waist,as far down as you can,now drink the water.,drink as much as you can bent,Here we go ,no more Hiccups; In Faith We3inc
rub your tounge on that soft spot towards the back on the roof of your mouth . it works!
pure will, just use your mind.

to learn to do it, take in a breath while hiccuping then hold it. concentrate on holding up your diaphragm. after a certain amount of time when you feel certain its gone let the breath out and relax your diaphragm.

one day you could just hiccup once or twice and just swallow
and its gone.

if you have read, almost everyones responses require holding the breath and focus on the diaphragm in one way or another.
Whenever you have the hiccups it is caused by your diaphragm muscle spasming, so when you hold you breath you relax this muscle and the hiccups will go away.
What works for me also involves a glass of water; fill up the glass, take a deep breath and EXHALE completely, and then slowly drink the water until you're almost gasping for air. Then stop, breathe, and usually the hiccups are gone.
Wrap the opening of a brown paper bag around your mouth and breathe deeply into it for a few times. Hope it works for your sis.

Another trick is, hold your breath while trying to slowly swallow your saliva for as many times as you can. By the time you need to take another breath, your hiccups will most probably be gone. Good luck!
This is a method that genuinely works. Although holding your breath or deep breathing stabilise your diaphragm, the occassional spasm (hiccup) can still occur. There is a theory that hiccups are continued subconsciously, even though you wish to stop them. Drinking water works, but most effectively when you take many small sips without stopping. The swallowing reflex stabilises your diaphragm and subconsciously takes your mind off it. At least, I think so. It works, anyway. Give it a shot- it's the most reliable method I know to date.
drink water and not kep throat dry
Lean forward until your head is upside down and drink a glass of water upside down. It sounds stupid, but I'm dead serious. :D
the best cure is water..
Drink hot water or warm water.
Make sure the hot water is not extremely hot.

It works everytime for me.

Don't drink cold water or other cold drinks.

Best sun cream for a child with sensitive skin/eczema?

hi there, can anyone recommend a sun cream for an 18month old with eczema? The variety in boots is just so vast, many claim they are dermatalogical or hypoallergenic, or mild especially for babies, but last year we used one recommended for babies and she came out in a terrible rash (so quickly and so fast I thought it was meningitis and took her to A%26E, they said she had a reaction to sun cream or possibly had a viral skin rash, so if any parents can personally recommend a brand (avaliable in uk) that they have had personal sucess using with their child with sensitive skin/eczema, I would appreciate your comments, and I will buy the brand that has the most possitive feedback! thanks.
Answer:
You could try Dr Hauschka sunscreen cream for children (SPF22). From the health food shop. Its very expensive but doesn't contain many of the harsh chemicals in some other brands. Its a mineral sunscreen so has no chemical sun filters
the E45 is widely used.
e45 is very good as my brother uses it. but you can get a sun factor 30 from good health shops that are ideal for people that have skin allergy's. my friend has something similar and his doctor recommended very small amounts of time on a special sun bed that they have in some hospitals,or you local tanning centre.it cleared his exma up very quickly so therefor he no longer has to suffer the way he used to. am so sorry your little boy is having to go through such an awful skin condition so young. wish you and your family all the best xx

Best sleeping tablet across the counter? or online? im in uk?

Answer:
Take a bath with lavender oil and put some on your pillow. Take a warm caffeine free drink. Avoid reading, TV and exercise for at least 30 minutes before retiring as these all stimulate the brain.

DON'T TAKE PILLS! Even OTC pills for sleep can quickly become a habit.
Try Boots 'Sleepeze" 50mg. They are quite effective
Stop drinking coffee and anything with caffine in it, try camomile tea and eat a banana just before going to bed. It works for me.
Somebody suggested`caffeine! That is a stimulant and will keep you awake. I frequently have nights when I just 'cannot' get to sleep. My best solution is anti-histomine tablets. They are not addictive, you can get them over the counter and taken about an hour before bed they will give you a fantastic nights sleep. The sort I use is called Benadryl. They are the best of every type of sleeping remedy I have ever tried!!

Hope this helps.

Best site to order prescription drugs without a prescription?

please does anyone have any good rx sites that don't need prescriptions
Answer:
It is illegal to distribute prescription drugs without a prescription. Drugs are regulated in order to make sure they are only being used under the supervision of a health care professional. It is unsafe to self-treat with these drugs.
The buying and distribution of prescription drugs without a prescription in the U.S. is highly illegal, and jail time would be in store. If you find a site that sells rx drugs without a prescription it is just a hoax. You need to see a doctor, and get a prescription.
if you want a site to buy prescriptions without a prescription...hmmm let me think WHY??? Not such a good idea. it's illegal
You wont find one. They are ILLEGAL.

Best prescription pain killer?

Just want to know whats the strongest i can use for my back ache
Answer:
shouldn't u be asking ur dr this ?
Vicodin/Hydrocodone or Darvocet. They will knock you out to the point you don't even know pain exists. But to actually help your back get better.I would say Motrin 800 or Anaprox. Hope you feel better dear.
ADVIL!
Liqued Advil capsols kill anything including bad tooth pain . The only thing it does not help is Nerve pain such as that caused by Migraines and Severe tooth pain caused by nerve .
You don't want the strongest possible prescription pain killer for a back ache. You want Tylenol or Advil. If they don't work talk to your Doctor about Tylenol #3 or Vicodin. The strong prescription pain killers are prescribed for patients recovering from surgery, patients with cancer, etc. Don't use the shotgun to kill the fly.

Best NRT available in the UK?

Okay, today is my first day of not smoking and I'M GOING MAD!! I'm on 21mg patches and using an inhalator, but after 15 years of smoking the habit is just too great.
I'm using the no smoking service at my doctors surgery and the support is great, but has anyone else got an tips for someone who is COMPLETELY LACKING in will power?
I'm really proud of myself for what I've achieved today as on previous attempts I haven't been able to get through the first 2 hours of the day, so don't give me a hard time.

Thanks
